Privacy Policy

We collect information you provide and data generated through your use of the Service.

• Account data: email address, password (hashed), and authentication metadata managed by Supabase Auth.
• Registration metadata: terms acceptance timestamp and version.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and actions taken (e.g. applications submitted, bookings created).
• Device data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs collected by our infrastructure provider.

Profile data is displayed to other users as part of the marketplace:

• Core profile: full name, email (not publicly displayed), role flags.
• Guest profile: headline, bio, website, and LinkedIn URL.
• Host profile: show/host name, bio, and podcast listing details (name, description, category, website).
• Reputation data: review ratings, reputation score, and review comments you receive or submit.

When you apply to a podcast or manage bookings, we store:

• Application topic, pitch message, and booking status.
• Proposed recording slots, confirmed schedule times, and recording briefs.
• Messages exchanged between host and guest within a booking thread.
• Reviews submitted after completed bookings.

Booking participants can see information relevant to their shared booking. Hosts see guest application details; guests see host podcast information.

We use aggregated and anonymised analytics to understand how the platform is used and to improve performance and usability.

• Product analytics: feature usage, page views, and error rates — used internally to prioritise improvements. [Analytics provider placeholder — e.g. Vercel Analytics or similar — to be confirmed at launch.]
• We do not use your personal data for behavioural advertising or sell analytics data to third parties.
• Where cookie-based analytics are used, they will be described in our Cookie Policy.

We send emails for the following purposes:

• Account emails: registration verification and password reset (via Supabase Auth).
• Transactional emails: booking accepted/rejected, recording scheduled, booking completed, welcome messages, and review notifications (via Resend when enabled).
• Service announcements: important changes to the Service, these policies, or your account.

We do not send marketing newsletters without your consent. You cannot opt out of essential transactional emails while maintaining an active account, as they are required to operate the Service.

• To create and maintain your account and membership status.
• To operate the marketplace — matching, bookings, messaging, and reviews.
• To detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse.
• To improve the platform based on aggregated usage data.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Poddle and its users.

We use TLS encryption, hashed passwords, and database Row Level Security. No method of storage is 100% secure — contact us at hello@poddle.io if you believe your account is compromised.

We retain data while your account is active. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days except where law requires longer retention.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, port, or restrict processing of your data. Email hello@poddle.io to exercise these rights. We respond within 30 days.

The Service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Material changes will be notified at least 14 days before taking effect via email or in-app notice.
